Love Stories page 17

'In 1527, King Henry VIII was obsessed with a woman who was not his wife and who refused to become his mistress. This woman, whom he had been pursuing for over a year, and who would go on to become his second queen, was Anne Boleyn.'

'A series of Henry's love letters to Anne, dating from 1527-8, shed light on his state of mind at the time. In them he describers his 'great agony', professes his love for Anne and begs her to become his mistress. Some of these letters were sent with gifts, including a miniature portrait of the king set into a bracelet which, unfortunately, has not survived.'

Royal Mail and our other regular global couriers have stopped asking for signatures when delivering parcels to customers. In cases where a parcel does not fit through a letterbox, the courier will leave the item at the door, and will step aside after knocking to ensure there is a safe distance while you retrieve your parcel.

In addition, some couriers are experiencing delays at this time. We would be grateful if you could have patience with us during this challenging time.
